How Amy went from Coaching Side Hustle at $62K to Full Time Coach at $654K in just 3 years: Amy Gorin's Journey to Scaling Her Coaching Business with One Offer
Hello everyone and welcome back to the Six Figure Systems podcast. Today we have a very special guest. I am featuring Amy Goran this week and she has been my client since February of 2022. And what we're going to be doing today is we're going to talk about how I got Amy from 40. We're really going to go over the past three years and talk about how, where she was at 42k when we first started working together to now $455,000 for this year just with her coaching business. And we're also going to be talking about how she, within the past three years that we've worked together, her all time revenue is over $1 million. I know you're going to want to listen to this one back many times. So Amy, why don't you go ahead and introduce yourself and tell us all about you and your coaching business. Well, thanks for having me, Megan. I, um, have worked with Megan for quite a while now because she's amazing. And so I'm Amy Goren. I run Master the Media, which is a media training and certification business for health professionals. And what we do is we teach you how to land brand partnerships that are paid and they could be $50,000 or more and we do that through getting you featured in the media. So, so when I came to Megan in, I think we first talked, first talked in 2021 and you know, it was kind of Master of the Media was a little kind of side business for me. I my main income. So that 42k that she mentioned was because I think all told, the revenue for that year from Master the media was 94,000 and I split that with the business partner I had at the time. And then my main revenue came from the, the paid brand partnerships that I teach my students now how to land. So I was making $200,000 from that revenue, but I was working a lot. And the great thing about having a coaching business is you get to kind of create an offer that's scalable so you can spend less time working or time enjoying your free time and then you can go from there. Yeah, it's been amazing and it's been, it's, it was so cool because Amy and I actually met very randomly. I was living, uh, in Winston Salem at the time. And this just the reason why I'm sharing a little bit about this backstory is because a lot of people don't understand the value of business to business partnerships. And I was doing a random giveaway in Winston Salem and Amy lives in Connecticut, found this Giveaway. And I had just offered a free coaching session in this giveaway. It was a end, uh, of the year giveaway in 2021. And she won the coaching session. And within that session, she was talking about how she had started this side hustle coaching business, which now hearing that, uh, in three years, it's now $455,000. It's crazy. But what happened is then you were trading places with your business partner, and you were taking on Master the Media all by yourself. And so. Yeah, yeah, so Master the Media actually started back in 2016. And, you know, like I said, like, my. So I Back. Back story is my first career. I was a magazine editor, so I was the person who was on staff at Health and Prevention and Parents, and I would hire experts to write articles, and I choose the experts, like the ones I teach now to be featured in those articles. And then I was like, this. This whole lifestyle, you know, I was making my first. The first year I did that, I made like $30,000. I was just like, this is not sustainable in New York City. Um, and so I went back to school to become a registered dietitian nutritionist. Quickly, um, realized that that career in its own, if I was doing it the traditional way, didn't exactly meet my income goals either. So I figured out how to combine, okay, I have media knowledge and experience. I've met a lot of brands through my previous career working at magazines. How do I get those brands to pay me? And so I had figured that part out. Um, and that's kind of how Master the Media was born, because people would come to me and ask me questions, how do I get paid by brands? And literally, Master the Media was a little tiny baby of a side project. I didn't really think that much about, you know, how much money I was making from it, because it was just something I was doing that was fun. And then at the time when I met Megan through this random giveaway, literally so random, I think I was just up, uh, late one night, and I was like, I'll enter some giveaways on Instagram and that, you know, I'm a big believer in just, you know, serendipity. Um, around that time, my. My business partner was. She had just was like. She was like, I have three kids. I, you know, I need to back out of this business. And so the first time I met Megan, I was like, you know, kind of like a deer in headlights, like, okay, I want to do this by myself. But, like, I've never run a. A big coaching business by myself. Like, what do I do next? Well, that's. And that's huge. And for anyone that's listening to this, Amy, you have mastered the media for five years before we met, and it had never even cracked anywhere close to six figures for your take home because you were splitting the income with the, uh, your business partner. And so I think that's really important for people to hear that you can have a coaching business for a while and it not take off in the way that you want it to. But there are just a couple of shifts that we did that really made it just explode.
And I know that's what you guys want to hear is like, what did it take? What was the difference maker that getting coached helped you to create? And I think there were two things and also just we're going to talk about the number of students, like your capacity. But in 2021 you worked with 13 students. And then in 2022 you went to 29 students, in 2023, 66 students. And now in 2024 you're at 111 and you still have another launch to go. So every single year we have almost doubled your, the amount of students that you have. And I think that the first piece that was like the biggest piece was the offer that was like the, the first thing that we had to do because feel free to share about all of the offers that existed pre working together. So when I started working with Megan, I was like, well, I've been in the process of launching this boot camp and it's going to be free. And I also want to have this, you know, offer for my students who've been working with me for a long time. And she was like, Amy, um, do you realize that for every single offer you have, you have to create a new marketing funnel? And so I was like, oh, did not know that. Let me just hit pause on pretty much everything but my main offer. And so what's been really interesting is I spent the last like three years just really perfecting the one offer I have. And I think that goes, you know, you'll meet a lot of coaches out there who are like, oh, I have like 22 offers and I have this one and this one. And they're all different price points. And there's many different ways to do this kind of business. But until the day when I'm like, my core offer is 100% perfect, all of our systems behind it, the marketing, the social media, the manpower is 100%, like, automated. It can run on its own. We may get There, we may not get there. That's the only time I'm ever going to consider adding another offer because we know that this is working. Why change what's working? To add something that's unknown and also like, who knows how we would run that thing in the first place. Yeah. Uh, and I think that something I've been hearing a lot of is people aren't confident in their offer. They're not confident that what they're selling is really valuable. So they get this idea to do a low ticket offer and they're like, okay, so if I have a low ticket offer, if it's less expensive, expensive, then more people will join and then I can have the confidence to sell my higher ticket offer. So feel free to just like share a little bit about. I mean, I think we're still seeing how the low, how the low ticket offer will play out. Like you've probably seen on Facebook, you know, buy this thing for $9, come to my free. You know, it's an almost free purchase. And the theory is that that person who's investing $9 in you is actually going to take the time to watch the thing that they bought because they invested in it. We still have enough data to see how this is playing out for high ticket offers. And so that's the thing where, you know, when it comes to, even like when you. And when we use the word high ticket offer, like that can mean 3,000, 4,000, it can mean 8 or 10,000. And so that's something where I've seen, you know, when I started, when I started working with Megan Master, the media was $4,000. A year ago or a year and a half ago, we changed the price to 6,000. Now it's 8,000. The reason, because we just keep on adding more value. That means we have more coaches. That means we have, we have to raise the prices to be able to, you know, actually do everything that we want to do for our students. My point is that $4,000 person is not the same thing as an $8,000 person. And so if we're still figuring out like when you have a high ticket offer, who is that $8,000 person I'm talking to? And you kind of paint that picture. It's possible, it's not entirely likely. And like I said, we just don't know enough yet to know that that person who buys main for nine dollars is going to be that eight thousand dollar person. Like I know I've, I've purchased those nine dollar things and not watch them. So where does that have me fall. I don't know. I'm so with you. And I think that like, uh, what people think is that if they get people at a low ticket offer, then they'll have the confidence. But really what we did with Amy in order to double her offer price is we made sure that she was extremely confident in what she was doing. She mastered her delivery to her clients. Her clients got amazing results. And then they started referring other people, they started giving her a bunch of testimonials. And if you don't mind speaking to the renewals that have happened because your offer is so good. Yeah, we just, um. This is insane actually. So we just had 17 people this quarter who are either current students or had graduated and wanted to come back, re enroll and Master the Media. And so what I've really been just, I'm like super, super dedicated to providing value, seeing results. And so when anyone works with us and Master the Media, we have a program that's 12 modules and it's self paced. We have a certification. Those things are awesome. But what we also do is we do a lot of hands on work. So we have daily, weekly brand paid brand partnership opportunities that are exclusive to our students and we connect them with those people. And then we also have for each of those 12 modules, there's an exercise where you have, you know, one of our instructors, she went through Master the media herself, earned $90,000 from brand partnerships in the last year. And she's the person who's going through your brand partnership pitch and giving you feedback. Um, we have a guy who marketed 75 bestselling books and five Super Bowls who's helping you with your like, audience and your niching and who you're talking to. So it's extremely hands on. And then we also do coaching. We have weekly and monthly coaching sessions and we work with our students there to be like, oh, I just talked to a brand and wanted to know how much this costs and how do I talk that through with them, how do I price it? And so to deliver all of those things, you know, I don't know offhand what our actual like per student just cost is, but it's pretty high, which is why we're a high ticket product. We can't sell our product for $2,000 because we wouldn't make a profit if we did. Exactly.
But the reason why you had all this, these ideas, the reason why you're able to have that is because you have one offer. And I think that for anyone who's listening to this podcast, Many people are pre six figures and they just don't think about like, what is it actually going to get to multiple six figures to seven figures. They want to grow, they want to scale and they see people at uh, maybe the eight figure level that are dabbling with smaller ticket offers and they don't see the back end and how much work it goes into creating a really, really good marketable scalable offer. And that's one thing that I want you to focus on now is that, yeah, I mean we have 18 people who are working behind the scenes and in front of the scenes to make everything run smoothly. I can't even imagine how many people we need if we had more than one offer. Um, and just like, you know, I've had people who are like in the million multimillion dollar income range who told me like, oh, if I could go back in time, I would simplify my business and have just one offer. Um, so like I said, I mean, will I ever have another offer? Probably, you know, we just did like a retreat this last, you know, this, this year. And that's kind of an offer. It is an offer, but it's not like you don't have to create a whole funnel around having a retreat. Um, so I think you can add things like that. But will we have another whole program? You know, maybe in the next five or 10 years? Yes. And I think that for you, if you're listening to this pre six figures, my recommendation is to start one on one. And then when you get to a group, as you're doing these things with your one on one clients, you're starting to realize what are their deficits, what can I create to fill those deficits? And then that becomes your intellectual property that then can get you to a group. But that's one of the reasons you can refine stuff. You can play around with things, you can test out different things and then when you get to where Amy's at, uh, a single offer still performs so well. And also talk about like the value of having one offer in the work life balance that creates too. I will in a second. But can I backtrack and disagree with you for a second? Yeah, yeah, yeah, go ahead. So I know and I think there's many different ways to do this. I'm more of a rule breaker and I like, I'll jump five, ten places ahead. So I totally bypass the whole one on one coaching. Just, just so you guys know, it is possible. I just was like, you know, I'm just going to be fully confident in What I do, that no one else is doing it, that no one else can do it as good as I can. And I know that sounds super conceited, but you have to be super confident to succeed here. And I just jumped straight into the group setting. But that said, I started off as like just a program without coaching, then added a little bit of coaching, then added a lot of coaching, so it didn't all happen overnight. Well, and the thing I want to point out that it's a difference between you and other people is you had credibility, you also had done it yourself. I think a lot of people when they're thinking about starting the business, they don't have, they don't have modules. And to take time and spend time to do that is the reason why I think the easier way is to start with one on one. But I have had people who have groups as well. The thing is, with a lot of people, I just want them to also hear that like you had $200,000 of brand partnerships also coming in so you could play around with the group. You know, it was like, it wasn't like, it was like, this is your only income was the master, uh, media income. Oh yeah. And you did for five years, you made 50 less than 50. And the first few years I was kind of like, if I break even, I'm fine with that because I'm just having fun. And there is no, like there is no other end goal. Then this feeds my soul. I'm happy doing this. The end. Then when I met Megan, she was like, amy, you have a million dollar offer. And I remember that night I told my husband and he's like, oh, everybody says that. And then fast forward and we literally there and I will tell you guys, like, I'm a straight shooter. I will not say this to everybody. I, uh, I, if we ever meet, I will be honest with you about your business. But I just knew Amy had the audience, she had the offer in.
Really one things that we talked about is like you, everything you had was really good, but your confidence was missing. And I think in that first year, going back to 2022, when you went from 42K to 96K, 13 students to 29 students, that was your first year and that was your sixth year of business, that in the first time you'd ever gone out on your own. And I think that for you, what could you share about, like, what were the shifts that it took for you to double in that year? What were the things that like, needed to happen that we were able to Accomplish with coaching? Yeah. I mean, for. There's a few things, but, you know, one is, like, it's the whole concept of until you do something and you succeed at it, you don't think you can do it. Right. So I had my business partner, and whenever we did webinars, whenever we did Discovery calls, she was always the closer. That was her role. I was the opener. She was the closer. So I had it in my head. I said, megan, I. I don't know how to close. I can't close. And she was like, sure you can. And, like, we literally sit there and, like, write a webinar script. And now, literally, I just, like, I can do that on my own. But she helped. She held my hand at the beginning, and, you know, still gives me lots and lots of feedback on these things. The other huge thing, I think Megan is an amazing systems coach. I think. I personally think she's an even better mindset coach. And you can take both or, you know, whatever. Um, but that's the thing where, like, I. I see Megan twice a week now, because she helps me just clear all the clutter out of my head if I'm, like, hung up on something so stupid, you know, like, oh, somebody hurt my feelings. Like, I'm making stuff up. But, like, she'll just help me clear my head so I can focus on the stuff that matters. And it's kind. I mean, it literally is like business therapy. I don't need a therapist because I have Megan. I feel so hard. And I think that that's a big thing, that a lot of people just coming back to the sales piece of things, like. Because I think most people who start businesses that I work with have never been in sales before. So it's like, they don't know how to do a sales call. They've never done a consult. They don't know how to do a webinar. And I think that, like, it can feel so intimidating and also kind of, like, bad. And I feel like, the way that I hope that people feel when I teach that their sales calls, and I do think that it converts so much better when you're authentic. And that's what I feel like is a big difference in, like, the way I teach consults and the way I teach webinars. And if I can do this for $1 million business, I know I can do it for you guys, too, which is pretty jazzy. And I train your team now, too, which, yes, whenever we have someone new who comes on for Discovery calls, she and trains them, and we Just had, like a group staff call. Megan was there. So not saying she can do all this for your business because she has limited time, but training that I teach you in six figure systems, I literally use for Amy's team. And, uh, yeah, it works. Yeah. And I will say, like, I now approach my, like, my consultations as kind of like more or less like they're getting a free coaching call. And this is what sold me on Megan. When I met her. She gave me a free coaching call because I want it. And then she's like, do you want to do a consult? And I got another free coaching call. And then I was like, okay, I'm just gonna buy her program, you know? Um, but, like, that's how I teach my students now on when they're talking with potential brand partners who might want to pay them to go in there and make it all about the other side, make it all about the brand. What are your needs? What are your goals? What can I help you with? What can I coach you on for free? And then we can talk about what you can pay me to do. And that lands so much more authentically. Hey, I'm Amy. I'm awesome. Buy my product. The end. Like, yes. He wants that. So client focused. And I'm glad that you brought that up because, like, I think a lot of us try and sell ourselves and we're like, oh, they want to work with me, so I've got to talk about me. And that was a huge shift, I think, for a lot of people. And just having a protocol for it, like, making it easy for people to just, like, decide if this is right for you. Because again, it's not about getting a yes all the time. It's about, like, also making sure it's the right fit for them.
Um, but then the next thing that you brought up was the mindset. And literally, like, within six figure systems, I call it your six figure mindset. And Amy, we were working on your six figure self, and this year we've been working on your seven figure self. And, uh, if you don't mind speaking about, like, what is, Because I think there are some people who are like, what is your, like, when we say that, when we say mindset, like, what is that? Do you mind sharing about, like, what that was for you? M. Yeah. I mean, I don't even know if I had any, like, actual realization of what that was because I never really thought about it. And then when early on, actually, we haven't talked about this in a little bit. Like, Megan would be like, Picture Million Dollar Amy. Like, what would Million Dollar Amy do? And I literally like picture her. You know, she's the girl who wears like a nice dress on an airplane and flies first class because she can. And you know, it's just like, you know, also this year I hired a daily housekeeper. Million Dollar Amy did that because she can. And it's just like picturing those things and having them. I don't want to say manifesting because that just seems like you have to imagine it and it becomes real. But giving yourself the confidence to say, like, yes, I can do this. I can create something amazing that people want. I can attract all those people and like, truly, truly believe in myself. And the other part of it too is, you know, over like about a year, year and a half ago, I just started taking huge calculated risks. Because I came to that point, I was like, okay, I'm making multiple six figures, which is awesome. But I want to, you know, one day I want to be making multiple millions. And how do I get there? And so, you know, I mentioned that, uh, pretty much every year since I started working as a media dietitian. So like 2016 to now, well, actually 2017, I was making over $200,000 every year from working with brands for paid partnerships. And I realized, okay, first of all, nowadays all the brands that come to me, I can't possibly work with them, um, all because that would be a full time job. And for my students to get a paid brand partnership versus me, like, it's going to be so much more life changing for them. And so I literally started handing over like 99% of the brand partnerships that came to me. I would just, I now give them to my students. That's a huge calculated risk. It could have backfired. I could have been like, not only am I somehow not getting any students, but I'm also not getting any brand partnerships and my income, zero. But I don't think like that. And Megan and I, you know, sometimes I'll just come to her and be like, I did this thing and like, okay. And it worked because like that's, you know, that's what we sell ourselves now at, uh, Master the Media is we have this program that's self paced, you can watch the videos and then we also literally hand deliver you exclusive opportunities for paid brand partnerships every single day.
Um, oh, Megan, I have one other thing that I want to like it with the Master then the six figure mindset, the seven figure mindset that we created for you was able, you felt safe enough to take Those calculated risks in your marketing, in your certification. And I think that that was huge, too. And I'm just remembering the very first, like, huge, calculated risk I took. I think it was like one of our very, very early sessions. And I was like, we did a launch, and it was like, barely anybody's buying. Like, you know, it was like, I was, like, upset, you know, And I was like, well, there's this one thing I've been thinking about doing, and I just. Oh, it just feels so uncomfortable. And Megan was like, what is it? And I, well, just telling people how much money I make. Like, they can see it, that I do it and can teach them how, then they can see it. So we were just like, let's just do it. And I shared that I made, like, $262,000 from brand partnerships in one year. And then I went and told my husband. I remember he was like, outside playing basketball, and he was just like, okay, if you had asked me first, I would have told you no. But I was like, literally, like, seven people bought today. And he was like, okay, it's working. It's working. Like, I can't say anything. Oh, yeah. And that's a huge thing, is you're going to get feedback. This is great because, like, a lot of times people are like, okay, I know the mindset piece of things, especially because I work with a lot of coaches myself. They're like, okay, I know the mindset stuff. Uh, so it's like, uh, do I really need to invest in more business mindset, if I know mindset. But there are so many noises. There are going to be other coaches. Like, you're seeing just so many other people. You're going to hear from friends and family. Everyone's going to have an opinion about your business. And I think having somebody that's done it before that can put you in a good direction is so, so important. Because I also see a lot of people working with people who haven't made six figures with their business. And it's a very different. It's different feedback if you have been. Also, there's like, you know, I always just like to say, like, okay, everyone here I think that we're talking to is a coach, right? And so how are you going to be the best possible coach that you can be if you're not getting coached yourself? Just trying that, like, well. And I also think it's a huge asset for me. I say, I. In the four years I've had my business. I only had my business for four years. Um, and within this time. I've never been without a coach. And I think that's the reason why I've doubled every year. It's not just that I'm doubling or I've doubled twice. I doubled from 47 to 120 and then one, um, hundred and fifty six to now 350. And the reason why I was able to do that was not because I'm a special snowflake, not because I am just someone who's like. I mean, I am. I have figured stuff out, but I also think it's because I invest heavily in my mindset. And I know that who you are before the how is so important. And if you just think about it, as you're listening to this podcast right now, think about being your six for yourself. You sit up a little straighter, you do things different. Like, you know what I mean? It's like it changes the way you show up and to have that reinforcement every single week. Six for yourself, Six for yourself. What would your six for yourself do? I think that's huge for people, too. So I also want to add, like, Megan herself invests in a lot of coaching. Like, I don't even know how much, but that's one thing where I'm like, okay, I'm paying Megan X and I'm getting the value of, like, her even more expensive coach. She passes along that knowledge to me. So I don't have to pay that, like, $100,000 coach. I pay Megan. Exactly. And it works. And I think that the other thing that I found is that when you invest in coaching, that it creates compound return. So, like, I don't need to learn how to make a marketing calendar ever again because I paid a coach back in 2021 to learn how to do it. I don't have to pay someone to learn how to do sales calls because again, I paid for that back in, like, 2021 as well. Like, so I know this stuff now and I know that it scales. So really, really awesome.
I think another thing that we were talking about with this. So then I think something that people are going to be very interested to know is from 2022, where you had, uh, decided you had 90, uh, 6k, you made not year 29 people. You increased your price to 6k in September, and then you went from 96 to literally $429,000 and 66 clients. What were the things that you felt like that we covered to, like, make you do that between, uh, a 96, 96K and $429,000 in 2022-2023. What was the difference? Saying was, so that number that Meghan shared, The 400,000 something is just from master the media revenue. And so pretty much even to this day, I'm still earning $200,000 at least annually from brand partnerships. So that number is really in the 600,000, which is insane. Um, but really, it's really just like. I think there's. There's obviously a lot of things, but I think one, first of all is, you know, okay, the reality is when you have an offer that's beginning to get scaled, and we are, um, you have to have more support. And so I started way back when with one virtual assistant. And then I think when I met Megan, I had like five or seven people on staff, and now I have 18. And that's a lot to systematize. Oh, yeah. And I think that one of the things that I think. And I think that year you went from seven to 18 people. And I think one of the things that I have found is that when you have systems in place, hiring people is so much easier making sure that you actually have people to support you. I think that was one of the things that I found personally when I hired people. It was really, really great to have people with the systems. So that was something that was huge. And then this year, we have gone from 66 to 111 people, which is insane. Insane. Almost doubled again. You also raised your prices to 8k. And something that is something I've heard many times in the industry is that when you raise your prices, expect a, uh, dip in your income. And we haven't. So why do you think that? Megan always tells me, like, oh, this is industry standard for that, for prices, you know, for enrollment to drop, or, um, every other year you're supposed to have a growth year and then a stabilization year. And I'm always just like, those rules don't apply to me. Because you got the mindset, because you have the confidence. I think this is huge. Like, if I had told you that when we started working together, you were going to go from 42 to 96 and 96 to 429, just as massive media, I think you would have laughed in my face. I think you would have been like, there's no way. I've had my business for five years. Like, there's no way. But you did. It's. I mean, it's. It sounds crazy and, like, almost. Yeah, like, too good to be true. But I think that there's so much right like, one is, I just, I decided like this, you know, I am on a seven figure path. That is where I'm going. And I don't want to say, uh, none of this has been easy. I don't want to, like, have that be a misconception. It's been a lot of hard work. And like, when I say, like, I see Megan twice a week, we work through some hard, hard stuff, but we work through it so much faster than we used to. And she'll always tell me, like, oh, that thing we figured out in 10 minutes, we would have spent like a whole week figuring out before. And it's just like, you're, as you grow as a business owner and as a coach, and you grow in, like, how many people are on your team and the number of dollars you're scaling to and the number of people you're supporting in your coaching business. Your capacity for. I don't want to swear on your podcast. So your capacity for stuff just grows immensely. And you grow as, like, what I'm able to just handle as a human and, like, as a partner to my husband and the rest of my friends. Like, I'm. I'm honestly like, constantly amazed by it because I'm like, I can. If I'm running a seven figure business, you better be sure, like, the rest of my life is also operating on a seven figure level. Yeah. Oh, that's so. I love that thought everybody, like, because I think that we think, and this is a big thing that I think is a huge misconception, is that when your business grows, you're gonna have to put more time, more energy into your business. And I think when you grow your business, you grow your life too. And that's one of the things that is a hard. That's why I created the systems, so I can have the life and the legacy I want. And I know that you've been working so hard on that this year. Yes. I mean, when we, Megan and I, like, made all those. A list of all those numbers that she shared today. And also, like, she put in, like, bold, like, craziest year of Amy's life ever. And like, literally this year I'm going to say all this and it's not even, like, the full picture. Um, like, okay, my cat was diagnosed with cancer and he's getting weekly chemotherapy treatments. I've been doing IVF for like, two years now. I was pregnant and had a miscarriage. Um, my, like, there's been so much other personal stuff. I. I think I'm, like, leaving out a Lot, um, and like, had multiple contractors, like, quit, had to get. I had to fire some, um, and just like, kind of reorganize the whole team. And this has been my best year in business ever. It really has. And I think that, like, the other thing is, like, you were able to do your first live event this year. You used to attend this conference called Fancy as like an attendee, and now you're like, running events at Fancy and like after parties. And like, it's been so wonderful to watch you bloom this year. Really. It's like, again, I think where you thought you were going to be 10 years from now is where you are now. And I literally just got chills because, Yeah, I mean, this conference that I've been going to probably since like 2012, I. A couple years ago, and I. I guess it was like three years ago. I was just like, yeah, I'm gonna have an event and I'm gonna get brands to sponsor it, and I'm gonna have invite a whole bunch of my ideal clients and it's gonna be great. And like, the first year, I think we made like $3,500 in brand partnership sponsorship dollars, and it was still a great event. We had like 50 people there, and then like the next year it was like 50,000 and we had like 100 people there. And then this past year, because we did that event and then we did a retreat and combined in revenue that was like 80 something thousand dollars and like 200 people. And it's just crazy, like, how much your capacity just to, like, do big things grows really fast when you're doing this. Yeah, that's huge. And I think, um, we didn't even talk about bringing more people in.
But, like, the other thing that we. I think that I want to celebrate you for is that not only have you been able to bring the people in, but you also take care of your people so, so well, because now you've got the time on the back end. Like, you really make sure that you're taking care of your clients. You make sure that, like, when you're thinking of these events, it's something that, like, we have thought of for literally, like all of 2022, we thought of that event and just each year keeps getting better and bigger. And I, uh, think that that is. That's a huge piece of this. And I am so, so proud of you and all the things that you've been able to accomplish. Man, we have been through so, so much in your life and in your business that I'm really glad you brought it up. And I didn't want to pressure you to bring up anything like that on the podcast, but I think people think that when you decide to grow your business, that means that life just stops. And it's like, we just, like, don't have to worry about life. And then we're like. Because, you know, the business takes precedent and that never happens. Oh, uh, yeah, I was like. I was like, I know there's something else that was big that happened. Like our. Our basement flooded and we had to, like, replace the entire basement. That also happened this year. But yeah, it's just like your. That's the beauty of, like, I've just all of. Of this, like, creating your own business, creating your own work life balance. You know, there can be weeks where I have my team handle things and I don't work that much because I have to handle my real life things. And that's. That's okay. Yeah, it's huge. I'm so, so proud of you. And I think that again, like, I feel like one things I hope for every single one of my clients is that they become unshakable. And I hope even as you listen to this podcast, you feel like this unshakable, like, first off, desire and excitement to grow, that it is possible. I'm not a special snowflake, Amy. Well, we are special snowflakes, but we're not. Like, you can do this too. It is possible for you. And I just want to, like, if no one has told you that today, if no one has told you that recently, I want you to know that if you can truly have this vision for your business, that you can make it a reality. And, uh, I'm again just so proud of you. Thank you so much for coming on. I think the second to last thing is, uh, if someone was thinking about joining Six Figure Systems, what do you feel like is their biggest. What would be a reason for them to join? Just do it. Like, I think sometimes we get into analysis, paralysis, and whatever that thing is that we want so badly, we talk ourselves out of it. Oh, it's too hard. It's going to take too long. It's too expensive. Expensive. Just do the thing. You won't regret it. I think that. Thank you and I appreciate you so much. And if anyone wants to find you, will you go ahead and just. And we'll include this in the show notes, but include your contact information. And if anyone wants to get started with media, do you have anything for them as well? Yeah.
